Happy 4th of July, everyone!

Hi All -

Have a great 4th of July with barbecue, friends and fireworks (don't miss any of it!)! Our neighborhood had the celebrations last week - presenting an video from that. We had a great time with our dear friends which was an early start to the jubiliations and hope the same for you. Their two dogs gave us immense joy and company through the evening - I am sure they would have personally preferred to avoid the fireworks. Enjoy the rest of the summer ...


Our menu for the evening included Australian lamb with Indian seasonings, home-made Garlic bread (bread was store-bought though! ;)), grilled Asparagaus and Sweet Bell Peppers. And of course, mashed Potatoes - a grill menu looks incomplete without some carbs from Potatoes! :) What was your menu? Would love to hear more.

Australian Lamb with Tandoori and Chicken Tikka BBQ Masala, Coriander Powder, Ginger-Garlic and a spoon of Yogurt to act as tenderizer. Bake at 350 degrees F till the internal temperature reaches 140 degrees F. Keep it covered in foil for another 10-15 mins to complete the cooking process.

Tender Asparagaus - my latest favorite veggie for grilling

Garlic bread - bake the bread with butter and tiny pieces of chopped Garlic for 5 mins at 400 degrees F and broil for a minute. Remove immediately and serve.

Disney Milk Chocs and Food ad for BWW # 36

Disney Milk Chocolates in form of coins were not only tasty but good subject for the pics. Disney characters can always bring a smile to your face - God bless them and their creativity. Over the years, almost every person has fond memories of these characters. I did not have the theme parks experience or endless hours of CDs\DVDs\etc - but every Sunday morning 9AM we had their show for one hour on India's National television "Doordarshan" and that would be one helluva fun hour!!!

Few years back, me and my mom made one "girls" trip to Orlando, Florida and of course, we did visit the Disney World - those were a few memorable Summer days for sure! Enjoy the Chocs...

We went bowling yesterday and loved the place. And from all the random clicks, found this one which got me thinking of food ads and their impact on our hunger, the next meal and the next grocery shopping list. Just looking at a well-shot food pic can make you hungry even if you did not feel the same a few seconds back! I had to share it as part of this event..

My dad loves photography. I can attribute my love for photography to him. The other day, we were sitting and chatting in the kitchen and we had a mega-cook-off coming up since we were expecting guests.
